With a vertical navigation menu, the links normally run to the left of the web page. The main content is shown to the right of them in the display area, and users celect which part of the site they want to see by choosing one of the vertical navigation links. You can have an unlimited about of links in this type of navigation.
Horizontal navigation links run just below the title bar, and can span the entire width of the page. The main content is shown below of the links in the display area, and users celect which part of the site they want to see by choosing one of the horizontal navigation links. Please note that with a horizontal navigation menu, you are limited to how many links can be shown, however, you can easily add sub-pages below the top-level links listed in the main menu.
